About Us
Achilles Ottawa is a national capital-based running club which is creating a community of support for runners who are blind and visually impaired of all levels and backgrounds, as well as guide runners. Our primary objective is to bring hope, inspiration, and the joys of achievement to people of all abilities.
10+ Years
At last we have a real-life in-person event -- COOKIE RUN!!!
Don't forget, Achilles Ottawa is so successful because ... check out our rhyme ;)
And we have more wonderful memories from our first 10 years:
-
Achilles Ottawa all started with Mikhail - read about our incredible chapter founder here.

Jared's 2020 marathon inspires us all -- read about here.

Weekly Group Run
We hold a weekly group run which brings our runners together for a workout, followed by coffee and conversation. Runners begin together, then break into smaller groups based on pace. We have guide runners who are able to meet any pace. Let's walk, run/walk, jog, or run at a faster pace together - you decide! If you are a guide (experienced or first-time), we welcome you to join us and to give guide running a try. Afterwards, everybody is welcome to stay around to have tea or coffee and to discuss members' workouts, how to improve the club, or just to socialize.
COVID-19 UPDATE: we have returned to the CNIB Hub!
